Firstly we were delighted to be chosen by Nailsea Town Council to be offered the opportunity to hire, for a very nominal rent, not one but two brand new electric minibuses to add to our existing fleet of vehicles used to transport our members in and around our Community.
On a sunny day,in June, we celebrated the official handover with the cutting of a ribbon by Cameron Stewart,Chair of our Trustees, then thanks to the support of Terry and Emma from Coates House, NDCT staff and volunteers were able to use their front outside area to serve all attendees with a slice of cake and a glass of bubbly to mark this very special occasion.
Just two days after this event NDCT had its Annual General Meeting but as this coincided with our 30th Birthday it had been decided to turn it into a celebration and a great deal of hard work by both Staff and some of the Trustees created a very special tea party for attending members, volunteers and all the staff. The hall at Flax Bourton was decorated and bedecked with Balloons and as well as a Raffle with prizes galore it was topped off with everyone receiving a large slice of the most amazingly decorated cake organised by Jill Stewart and baked by a local Lady.
Many thanks to everyone involved in making both of this occasions so memorable and we look forward to the next opportunity we have to celebrate more good news for the NDCT and all its wonderfully supportive members.
