General Trustees

A good committee of trustees is key to the success of the organisation, and we expect trustees to play a key role in the challenges and goals detailed below:

  • To secure long-term funding for the longevity of the organisation, which provides a vital service to the community.
  • To move away from diesel-operated vehicles and operate a green fleet of vehicles.
  • To secure our own premises from which to operate, to avoid rising landlord rents.

We want to recruit people who are passionate about helping older, disabled, or isolated people in our community to join our Committee of trustees and Council representatives. Our existing trustees are willing to support our new members. We are a not-for-profit organisation heavily supported by committed volunteers and have been running for 30 years.

The current Committee has trustees from varied professional backgrounds, and as a team, we draw from that experience. Any experience you can bring to the Committee would be appreciated and valued.

We are particularly interested in receiving applications from people with experience in business development and sales

As part of our Committee, you will support and shape our work and strategic direction and help us achieve our objectives. This is a vital role, helping ensure we can continue supporting older, disabled, and isolated people in our community. As a trustee, you will have a real opportunity to offer your unique skill set to help the organisation’s strategic progression.

Potential new trustees will be invited to meet the Committee and will be required to successfully complete a DBS check prior to appointment. We are looking for a new trustee to start ASAP.
