Vacancies for Volunteer Drivers

We welcome applications from drivers with an interest in helping the community. Using NDCT minibuses, volunteers take members to essential appointments, mainly within the North Somerset and Bristol area. The work is very varied, and the people who use our services appreciate the freedom and independence that it gives them. It is a very flexible way to volunteer as you do not have to provide a regular commitment and there is no pressure to do more work than you wish to.

NDCT will provide:-

  • The vehicle and fuel.
  • All training – including the safe passage of wheelchair passengers under the MIDAS scheme.
  • Enhanced DBS checks
  • Support and assistance

Applicants should have:-

  • Held a clean driving licence for at least 2 years.
  • A D1 category on your licence (prior to Jan 1997) is required to drive the larger minibuses but we also have smaller vehicles which can be driven by volunteers aged 21+ with a standard category B licence (issued after January 1997).
