Dial a Ride is a service for passengers who find public transport difficult. It is to enable you to visit the doctor, dentist, hospital or perhaps a friend or relative.
Because we have a large number of regular commitments, bookings should be made as early as possible, and ideally two weeks before you wish to travel. Unfortunately, we may not have vehicles or drivers available at short notice.
To use our dial-a-ride service you will need to become a member of Nailsea & District Community Transport; this costs £20.00 per year for an individual or a couple (at the same address).
You will also be charged a fare on each occasion you use our service, which is based on the distance of the journey and the time involved. You will be given an estimate of the cost when you book. Membership forms are available from the office or on the ‘How to Join’ page.
For residents in Nailsea, Backwell, Wraxall and Tickenham, for transport to the hospital, doctor, dentist or optician appointments, “Nailsea Availables” operates a hospital car service. This service is only bookable through your GP Surgery, and you do not have to be a member to use the service.
